I hate this!
I'm the kind of person who honours a deal, and the fact that I've read all these review books means I HAVE to give something back in return. Unfortunately, it's now so long since I read most of them that details are kinda sketchy. So! What I decided to do was a couple of big catch up review posts with just the overall lasting impressions that stayed with me from the reads. Just short, one paragraph little snippets, so I at least can sleep at night knowing I didn't completely welsh on my half of the bargain.
Enjoy!

I do love this author. There comes a point where it almost doesn't matter who the featured couple are, you just want MORE. More of the hurts-so-good, painful, yet entirely exhilarating good lovin' that only she - and this series - can provide. And Fall from India Place didn't disappoint. My only complaint is that it was over too quickly.

An enchanting clash between a guilt-ridden ancient warrior, and a modern-day sassy lassie.
Duncan Mackay is carrying the weight of the world on his shoulders and it's almost too much to bear. A chance at love and redemption presents itself in the form of Brigid From the Future, but can he forgive himself long enough to take it?
Great plot. Great romance. Great book.

An enjoyable read with a delicious, dark and sinister edge, packed with interesting characters and a sound plot. It took a wee while to get going, and the romance could have been more involving, but overall, a good read.

With This Ring by Celeste Bradley
My rating: 3 of 5 stars
A sweet and quirky Regency read with a rather unforgettable family. Elektra was fun, if a little misguided, and Aaron was an absolute charmer.
Recommended.

An Inconvenient Kiss by Caroline Kimberly
My rating: 4 of 5 stars
After a very unfortunate encounter with her bother's best friend one evening, Georgiana Phillips finds herself "ruined" by society's standards, despite remaining pure as the driven snow. This changes the course of her life, sending her on many adventures that a woman of her standing wouldn't normally get to enjoy. And a chance encounter with the man that changed the course of her life several years later, leads to yet more thrilling adventures - this time, of the heart.
I really enjoyed this romance. The setting was fabulous and the storytelling truly excellent. Definitely one to add to your lists.

Minstrel's Serenade by Aubrie Dionne
My rating: 4 of 5 stars
This was an excellent fantasy romance and something quite different from the norm. I liked it VERY much. The gentle, strong silent type really works for me, and the bodyguard/knight character, Bron, stole my heart from the first page. A forbidden romance also always makes the heart grow stronger, so from that side of things, this book gets an A+.
The storyline and setting were also top notch, with a historical fantasy vibe and an abundance of fascinating species and charatcers. Truly, what's not to like?

The sweetest summer of Police Chief Clancy Flynn's life was the one when he met, and fell in love with, Evelyn McGuinness. It just about broke his heart when her vacation ended and she had to leave. So imagine how much his little police shorts get in a twist when she turns back up again years later looking as gorgeous as ever...
And it's not just his shorts that are cute in this book: The romance is delicious, the little niece is practically edible, and the whole family dynamic and feeling is as sweet as pudding. The only thing that wasn't quite as perfect, for me, was the mystery plot, but, after all that other good stuff, I barely care.

My Beautiful Enemy by Sherry Thomas
My rating: 4 of 5 stars
This was the oddest thing. It was very comic book-like in its over-the-topness. The heroine was an absolute badass of the highest order. Like, a fighting Ninja. And I'm just not expecting that sort of thing in a book that looks so much like a typical Regency romance from its cover! It was bizarre, but in the end, a very good read.
